We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our busy restaurant in Collingwood. The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes.
Develop and prepare menus, ensuring they are innovative and reflect the restaurant’s theme and concept.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and meet customer expectations.
Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Maintain inventory levels of food and supplies and ensure they are stored and rotated properly.
Control food costs and minimize waste.
Ensure that kitchen operations comply with all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and all food preparation areas.
Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and industry developments.
At least 2-3 years of experience in a busy restaurant environment.
Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
